Antonio Susini (active c. 1580-1624) was a Florentine bronze caster and sculptor who produced the finest casts after models by Giambologna. He worked in Giambologna's workshop and was considered the master's most skilled bronze technician, creating reproductions of Giambologna's small bronzes with extraordinary surface finish.
After Giambologna's death in 1608, Susini continued producing bronzes from the master's models for collectors across Europe. His casts are prized for their superb chasing and patination, sometimes surpassing even Giambologna's own workshop pieces in surface quality. His nephew Giovanni Francesco Susini continued the family tradition.
