Francesco Guardi completed this architectural fantasy combining real and imagined Venetian elements. The capriccio genre allowed artists to mix familiar landmarks with invented structures, creating idealized views that appealed to Grand Tour travelers.
Guardi was the last great painter of the Venetian school, known for atmospheric views that captured the city's fading glory. His loose brushwork and silvery light distinguish his work from the more precise vedute of Canaletto. This work remains in a private collection.
Luxury wall art with the same mood and energy. Gallery-quality canvas, no museum crowds.
